ROLE Structural Engineer

SALARY per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE Permanent

LOCATION Glasgow

My client provides bespoke structural engineering solutions for Civil residential commercial and industrial structures. They are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in the Glasgow area on a permanent basis.

The Structural Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Structural Engineering
• 5 or more years industry experience ideally working in a Structural Engineering position
• Proficient with using ideally Inventor or AutoCAD software for design
• Confident knowledge of civil structural disciplines
• Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
• Experienced designing products from concept to production
• Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry
• Innovative and passionate about design
• Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Structural Engineer role will involve:

• Being responsible for the design and development of various structures
• Using Inventor AutoCAD and Revit software for design on a day-to-day basis
• Developing ideas from concept to production
• Creating models/prototypes
• Liaising with clients and developing solutions
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
• Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
• Providing technical guidance and support
• Supporting Testing Verification & Validation
