Mechanical Site Supervisor/ Foreman | Newport, Wales
Perm or Contract

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical "Black Hat" Site Supervisor/ Foreman to join a high-profile data centre project in Newport. This role involves managing a specific section of the build inside the facility, overseeing mechanical installations, and coordinating subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all mechanical installations within your allocated section
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are carried out to specification and on programme
• Ensure health & safety compliance across the section, including conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments
• Liaise with site management, engineering, and commissioning teams to resolve issues quickly
• Monitor progress, report updates, and maintain quality standards
• Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring smooth operations within your area

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager / Black Hat Supervisor
• Ideally from a mechanical or building services background
• Previous experience on data centre, industrial, or large-scale MEP-heavy projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, and mechanical systems
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Relevant safety qualifications (e.g. SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent)
