A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a team in Erith, UK. Job description

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Our client is currently looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters / Maintenance Technicians to work as part of a team, covering mechanical maintenance activities on their customer's site in Erith.

Must have experience with mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or process environment.

NVQ level 3 / City and Guilds Level 3, or similar in a mechanical engineering discipline required.

Hours of Work
  • 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (42.5 hours paid basic)
  • Overtime available to suit the site needs
  • Job Location : Erith
Rate
  • Up to £20 / hour (depending on experience)
  • Call out rates and overtime available
Key Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a team to provide planned preventative maintenance in accordance with site schedules
  • Carry out fault finding and mechanical repairs during breakdown situations
  • Work to safe systems of work and other documentation provided and always with yours and other’s safety in mind
  • Communicate effectively with other team members
  • Identify the correct equipment required for each task and utilise that equipment safely
