Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Ipswich - Salary £36-42k (DOE)

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a long‑established industrial company based in Ipswich! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable role with strong long‑term progression!

Salary: £36‑42K (DOE)

Hours: 08:00am‑16:00pm (Mon‑Fri)

Role Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned mechanical maintenance and respond to breakdowns across a range of Pneumatic and Hydraulic machinery.
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and identify opportunities to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance schedules are completed.
  • Plan and support major shutdowns, overhauls, and scheduled outages.
  • Manage contractors coming on site for specific jobs and engineering projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and plant availability.
What Are We Looking For?
  • Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance engineering role within manufacturing, industrial, or process environments.
  • Strong mechanical fault‑finding, diagnostics, and repair capability.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
