Mechanical Fitter - Taunton - Somerset

£30,000 - £35,000

Overtime available, 33 days holiday, training and development opportunities.

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter for a world-renowned manufacturing company based in Somerset. You will be responsible for building and assembling a wide range of machines to engineering drawings and bespoke industry standards.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assemble components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• General assembly of small sub-assemblies to larger sections.
• Running pneumatic & hydraulic pipework.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Fully time-served mechanical fitter/engineer.
• Must hold a mechanical engineering qualification.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Experience using machine tools is an advantage.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with pneumatics & hydraulics.
• Fabrication experience would be an advantage.
