JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer / M&E Fire Pump Maintenance and Service Engineer who has strong knowledge of engines, motors and ideally fire pump systems.

Working as the Mechanical Engineer / M&E Fire Pump Maintenance and Service Engineer you’ll take on a variety of electrical and mechanical tasks to ensure the systems run safely and efficiently.

As the Mechanical Engineer / M&E Fire Pump Maintenance and Service Engineer your responsibilities will include testing and inspecting flow monitoring devices such as pressure switches, flow switches, and zone checks; servicing air compressors, jockey pumps, and controllers; and installing and commissioning pump ends, including end suction and split case types.

You’ll also carry out remedial work on electric and diesel fire pumps, replace diesel engines with necessary base modifications, and perform 24-month diesel engine services.

This role involves regular travel to client sites, with 1–2 overnight stays per week.
