Overview

Mechanical Engineer – Oxford (commutable from Witney, Kidlington, Abingdon, Didcot, Bicester, Aylesbury, Wantage or surrounding areas).

£35,000 - £37,000 + Workshop role + Training + Progression + Benefits.

Do you have forklift or any similar mechanical experience and want to join a national leader in the industry in a workshop position with full electrical, mechanical and hydraulic training?

This is a stable permanent role working on modern equipment, with a good work life balance and clear progression within the business. The company is a multi-million manufacturer of specialist plant and material handling equipment supplying to leading facilities. The role is available due to internal growth plans and is based at a modern, fully equipped local depot.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, inspection and testing on access, material handling and forklift equipment.
• Work on a rotating days and nights schedule; provide on-site service and support at the local depot.
• Operate across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems as part of multi‑skilled responsibilities.

Person specification

• Plant, forklift, REME, material handling or vehicle background.
• Any mechanical background welcomed.
• Local to the area.
