Hours:

Sunday: 08.00-16.30 / Monday: 06.00-18.30 / Tuesday: 06.00-18.30 / Thursday: 08.00-18.30

Location:

Commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Wilmslow, Stretford, and surrounding areas

The role offers a great shift pattern working days only, with a competitive salary and opportunities for further training and qualifications as you grow within the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Supportive maintenance across various equipment and machinery.
  • 75% of work involves planned preventative, project, and continuous improvement tasks; 25% reactive maintenance to resolve breakdowns.
  • Work includes belts, bearings, chains, motors, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
  • If electrical qualifications are held, responsibilities also include contactors, control panels, etc.
  • Assist with continuous improvements, machinery upgrades, and planned shutdowns.
  • Use a company mobile phone and maintenance system app to manage jobs, report issues, and upload/download diagrams.
Requirements:
  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or similar.
  • Experience in industrial and/or manufacturing environments, especially automated systems.
  • Multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Machinery maintenance experience.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to engage in the work.
  • Friendly, adaptable, and comfortable working in a heavy plant environment.
