Mechanical Maintenance Engineer — Location: Leeds — Salary: £34,000 — Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:00

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with company health and safety policies at all times.
  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
  • Work with mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, drives, belts, pumps, and gearboxes.
  • Fault find, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and continuous improvement projects.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Provide emergency mechanical assistance when required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across engineering and production to achieve targets.
About You
  • Proven background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and fault-finding techniques.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Familiarity with servo drives (desirable but not essential).
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player with the flexibility to adapt to operational needs.
