Job summary

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair industrial doors.
• Engage in installation projects.

Connect Appointments are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join our Fife-based engineering client.

Within this role you will be travelling across the country to carry out engineering work on a number of distilleries - 80% of this work is located within Fife, with the other 20% further a field.

What's on offer:

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
• Overtime and weekend work available during shutdown periods
• 17 to 19 per hour DOE

Working as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production lines are running to their full potential, as well as:

• General mechanical engineering
• Pump/mixer overhauls
• Installation of new equipment
• Lifting and rigging
• Handrail and walkway inspections
• Handrail and walkway repairs
• Industrial door inspection and repairs
• Installation projects

To be successful in this role you will ideally be a time served Mechanical Engineer, with previous industrial experience. Combined with the following skills and traits:

• Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Be able to understand diagrams and drawings
• Be able to work on your own and as part of a team
• Be focused and driven; able to prioritise your workload
