Qualifications

A manufacturer of safety-critical components sold to Aerospace and Ministry of Defence engineering businesses is now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Supplying OEMs and First Tier Suppliers globally, this business is experiencing a period of growth. In order to cope with this growth, they are looking to bolster their already large engineering team. As Mechanical Engineer you will work on projects across concept design, demonstration, development, qualification and production.

Responsibilities will include :
  • Managing design innovation to meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrating compliance with customer requirements.
  • Adhering to EN9100 processes.
  • Generating and delivering formal technical presentations to the customer.
  • Producing product technical specifications and detailed technical reports.
  • Carrying out validation testing.
  • Taking the lead on formal design reviews.
  • Being the customer technical interface lead on all technical matters.
  • Communicating with all levels of the business, manufacturers and suppliers.

The key skills required for the Mechanical Engineer will be :

  • Degree educated, ideally within mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering or a related engineering discipline. Equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of engineering (mathematics, stressing, materials and manufacturing techniques).
