Job description
Overview

Service Engineer / Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer required to join a global, market-leading engineering manufacturer.

Role and responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on milk pumping and fluid transfer systems.
  • Service and maintain metering, pipework, valves, and pump assemblies.
  • Perform planned maintenance, testing, and calibration to hygiene and operational standards.
  • Replace or rebuild pump components such as seals, impellers, and drives.
  • Keep accurate service records and parts inventory.
  • Install and commission new vehicle-based pumping systems.
  • Site based near Aylesbury with occasional travel across the South UK to customer sites.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience working with mechanical systems (any industry background considered - e.g. automotive, plant, HGVs, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, refrigeration, rotating equipment, or other electro-mechanical machinery).
  • Comfortable with maintenance, repair, and fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills - full product training provided.
  • A recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant mechanical experience is advantageous.
  • Flexible, practical, and hands-on approach to mechanical engineering.
  • Based within commutable distance to Aylesbury, with willingness to travel to customer sites in the South UK when required.
