A well-established engineering firm in York is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a variety of machinery and automotive projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SolidWorks and a background in mechanical design, particularly in fabrication and sheet metal design. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you will support design projects from concept through to manufacture, generating detailed documentation and collaborating with production teams to ensure effective designs.

Qualifications

• Strong experience using SolidWorks is essential.
• Background in mechanical design within fabrication, machinery, or automotive is required.
• Medium-level experience with fabrication and sheet metal design is needed.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Produce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models.
• Support machinery and automotive design projects from concept through to manufacture.
