Mechanical Design Engineer – Enclosures

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to elevate your career? This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic, multi–skilled design and manufacturing environment, focusing on electronic instrumentation products. The position promises a blend of creativity and technical challenge, perfect for those passionate about mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engineering drawings to relevant standards.
• Design electronic enclosures for their products, including EMC and Thermals.
• Design jigs and fixtures.
• Source component parts from external suppliers and in–house machining facilities.
• Oversee the assembly of prototype designs.
• Provide support and create design drawings for existing product lines.
• Manage and control modifications to engineering and production design drawings.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in mechanical design software, ideally Autodesk INVENTOR Professional and AutoCAD Mechanical. Although any mainstream 3D CAD SW experience would be fine.
• Experience in designing enclosures for electronic products, with experience in EMC and Thermal design concepts.Expertise in designing small component parts, assembly jigs, and fixtures.
