We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Global Solutions Engineering Group at Caterpillar (N.I.) situated at Larne. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the Caterpillar Electric Power engineering team.
The Global Solutions Engineering Group is responsible for the development of design to order customer specific electric power products. This includes new product development, technical support for operations, processing of engineering changes, investigation & resolution of product quality issues.
This role provides a great opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop their abilities within an experienced team working on projects for various export markets.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will primarily carry out the concept and design of mechanical engineering projects through to production, and ensure the electric power products provide superior performance, best cost, durability, quality, and serviceability for our customers.
For the right candidate, this role will include opportunities for you to be the lead engineer on smaller electric power projects.
