The successful candidate will design bespoke components using various manufacturing methods, undertake testing and product analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks, is required.

Job description

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' + experience working in a Mechanical Design or Product Design role designing bespoke products and parts using various manufacturing methods including: sheet metal, machined components, injection moulded plastic or die cast parts and components or similar.

Key Responsibilities

• Design from concept for manufacture bespoke components and enclosed products using a variety of manufacturing methods.
• Undertake testing, product development and analysis/ simulations to validate feasibility and performance.
• Understanding of Tolerances ideal
• Work cross functionally with manufacturing, procurement and quality departments to ensure smooth project delivery

Key Attributes

• Proficient in 3D CAD with Solidworks being preferred. Would consider Inventor or Creo
• Adaptable, proactive and team player who is able to use their initiative.
