Job description

The Cancer MDT Coordinator will work as an integral member of multi-disciplinary teams, providing a pro-active and facilitative clinical pathway navigation service by supporting clinical teams in ensuring that patient care is delivered in an effective and timely manner in accordance with national guidance.

The post holder will be responsible for the pro-active organisation and planning of multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, which will require regular consultation with clinical teams and a wide range of other health professionals, including local and regional cancer teams, booking teams and other support staff, both locally and at other providers. The post holder's remit is informed by relevant and contemporary national cancer policy and revisions to these frameworks as they are published. The pro-active collection and dissemination of relevant clinical data and information is a crucial part of ensuring the success of the role and the data management elements of this post should not be underestimated.

We are looking for a motivated and organised team player to join an established team. Training will be provided to support a new starter in this role. The individual will have an eye for detail ensuring accurate data input in line with National Cancer Waiting Times Guidance, Quality Surveillance and COSD.
