Job summary

A local NHS foundation trust in England seeks a Midwifery Support Worker for a 12-month fixed term position. The successful candidate will support midwives to ensure high-quality antenatal and postnatal care for women and their families. Midwifery Support Worker – Chesterfield Royal Hospital (12‑month fixed term)

An opportunity has arisen to join Chesterfield Royal Hospital as a Midwifery Support Worker on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assist midwives in the delivery of holistic, high quality; evidence based antenatal and postnatal care to women and their families.
  • Undertake unsupervised aspects of care and therapeutic intervention as delegated by the midwife, within agreed guidelines and sphere of responsibility.
  • His role provides support to Midwives ensuring that women receive high standards of maternity care throughout our service.
  • Work a shift pattern that covers weekends and Bank holidays.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Must possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills, with full training and support provided, and also have the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of the multi‑professional team.
