Providing direct care to women, birthing people, and their families under the guidance of registered practitioners. Assisting with assessments of healthcare needs and executing delegated responsibilities from the midwife. Executing care tasks for women, birthing people, and babies as part of routine care, following appropriate training. The post is advertised as a Band 3 role subject to the following: successfully completing the care certification within the six month probationary period of employment, during which you will be paid Band 2 or providing a copy of your completed care certificate which has been reviewed during the recruitment process and determined as meeting the accepted standard. Upon successful completion (or accepted evidence) of the Care Certification and completion of the probationary period of employment, you will be promoted to NHS AFC Band 3. Failure to complete the Care Certification within this timeframe may result in termination of employment.
