A trusted healthcare provider in Dartford is seeking a committed Maternity Support Worker for a part-time, permanent position. The role involves providing clinical care and support to women and babies in a maternity setting, managing documentation, and assisting midwives. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in healthcare and excellent communication skills. This position entails routine observations and direct support during clinical procedures. A passion for maternity care and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Please Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK independently, with a visa or immigration status that allows them to fulfil the full duration and type of contract offered. The Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Once trained and deemed competent the Maternity Support worker will provide direct delivery of clinical care to all women and babies accessing maternity services.
Under the direction of the midwife, they will manage their own time effectively whilst prioritising the care needs of the women and their babies.
The post is based within the antenatal clinic; if required to provide cover in other settings the employee will receive appropriate training for the clinical setting in which they are working. These settings include antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum inpatient care.
They will also be required to undertake routine clerical duties, completing Trust documentation relevant to the department.
