Role Overview

First-time parents are seeking overnight support for their newborn son, who is four days old. The baby is feeding well, and the family is eager to learn and actively participate in his growth and development. A caring and flexible approach is essential, as is the ability to gently empower parents without taking over.

Responsibilities

• Feed and settle the baby overnight.
• Offer advice on infant sleep patterns.
• Ensure both baby and parents are well-supported throughout the night.
• Provide practical advice on newborn care and breastfeeding.
• Establish positive sleep routines.
• Collaborate with parents, providing reassurance and sharing evidence-based techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum).
• Minimum 5 years experience within the role.
• 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid, enhanced DBS and Maternity Practitioner certification.
• Minimum two professional referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
• Appropriate personal insurance recommended.

Employment Terms

Job Start Date: ASAP
Length of Contract: up to 4 weeks (could extend)
Location: Chiswick (In the Nursery)
Hours of work: 9 pm‑6 am or 10 pm‑7 am
Days required: 3 nights per week
Suggested hourly rate: £20‑25 per hour

Self‑employed opportunity. The successful candidate will issue their own contract and provide UTR and tax details at offer stage.
