Job description

Shelly and Craig are recruiting for a personable and confident veterinary surgeon to join their team based in the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury. This is a part time role, covering maternity leave from February/March 2026.

You will be joining a friendly and close knit team consisting of 2 full time Vets, 5 RVNs, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant and 2 Client Care Advisors. The team hold a variety of interests including soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

The team are looking for an approachable vet with confidence in all routine surgery and who enjoys building relationships with patients, clients, the team and local community. Shelly and Craig are happy to support each member of the team with their individual areas of interest so if you have a particular interest, this could be the practice for you!

This role is part time (min. 20 hours per week), 4-day week 9am - 7pm working 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am - 5pm. We can be flexible on the hours worked and there is no OOH requirement with this role ensuring a great work/life balance.
