Responsibilities

  • Provide a second to none service for our end users.
  • Ensure that worked areas are kept tidy and stocked to approved levels.
  • Put away stock / non-stock as required per department.
  • Work closely with ward staff members, facilitating stock requests.
  • Maintain a duty of responsibility and care to patients at all times.
  • Support savings initiatives within the wider procurement function.
  • Provide a professional, customer focused Materials Management service to all user departments.
  • Order stock for clinical & non-clinical areas using a variety of different ordering systems.
  • Housekeeping by way of breaking down cages and disposal of boxes and packaging.
  • Ensure stocks are managed appropriately and cost effectively.
  • Assist with statistical analysis and production of management reports.
  • Organise appropriate stock storage in liaison with the ward/department.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with wards/departments.
  • Actively build and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and customers.
