Material Handler II
Location: Heysham
Salary: £12.65 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating weekly, Week 1: 08:00 - 16:00 Week 2: 09:30 - 17:30

We're looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Heysham. You'll be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders (both UK and Export), maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring health & safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack shipments accurately following pick lists and shipping guidelines
  • Label and prepare items for UK and export in line with transport regulations
  • Load shipments and complete all required paperwork
  • Use third-party systems (e.g. couriers, MSDS)
  • Keep stock levels of consumables replenished
  • Operate warehouse equipment (after training) and report faults
  • Maintain records and comply with security and safety policies
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements
  • Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Forklift license (beneficial but not essential)
  • Willingness to follow processes and maintain high safety standards
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
