At Fortrea, our world-class Clinical Research Unit in Leeds (just a short walk from the train station), is a 65,000 ft², 100-bed facility dedicated to Early Clinical Research. A cornerstone of our global operations, it’s here where life-saving medicines begin their journey.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Specialist to help us strengthen bridges between science and society. We need you to inspire patients and healthy volunteers to participate in clinical trials. You will:

  • Collaborate with clients, communities, and clinical teams to make research more inclusive, efficient, and human.

HYBRID JOB, LEEDS.

Designed to support both productivity and work-life balance, this flexible working hours job:

  • You will work minimum 3 days on-site and 2 days from home.
  • While the core hours are Monday to Friday, occasional support for weekend events may be required.
What you will do

This job encompasses solving clinical trial enrolment challenges with flair, from crafting innovative outreach strategies to defining how we engage with Gen Z audiences, opening new channels through GPs, consultants, community groups, and patient organizations, and refreshing our local presence to strengthen Fortrea’s brand in Leeds.

On a typical day you will:

  • Design Bold Recruitment Campaigns – Create imaginative, data-informed outreach strategies using digital media, grassroots engagement, and healthcare partnerships.
  • Client Collaboration & Consultation – Serve as a strategic partner to sponsors and study teams, offering tailored plans, insights, and updates that drive recruitment success.
  • Participant Experience Architect – Ensure every interaction—from first contact to final follow-up—is clear, compassionate, and compliant.
  • Solve Recruitment Bottlenecks – Tackle enrolment challenges with creative, actionable solutions that keep timelines intact and stakeholders confident.
  • Community Engagement & Advocacy – Represent the research team at outreach events, health fairs, and webinars, building trust and awareness across diverse populations.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling – Turn recruitment metrics into compelling reports and presentations that inform strategy and inspire action.
Who you are

Required :

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a marketing discipline (agency or in-house) with a focus on retention, growth or audience engagement.
  • Solid background in planning and executing campaigns across online, offline, and community channels.
  • A knack for creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
  • Confidence working with clients, sponsors, and diverse communities, including presenting confidently to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Marketing.

Nice to have :

  • Familiarity with GCP, IRB processes, and clinical trial regulations (full training provided if needed).
  • Experience with CRM or CTMS platforms
  • Certification in Clinical Research or Patient Engagement
  • Background in design, digital marketing, or community organizing
