Job Title

Manufacturing Technician – Wiring

Role Details

Location: Glasgow

Contract type: FTC (18 months) and Permanent

Hours: 4 day week, Monday‑Thursday, 37 hours per week (9.25 hours per day). Start time flexible between 6:00 am and 7:30 am with 30 minutes unpaid lunch.

What you’ll do
  • Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
  • Escalate Health and Safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
  • Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adhere to defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
  • Self‑assess and approve products.
  • Support continuous improvement actions within the industry.
  • Detect faults or non‑compliances and raise alerts; contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis where possible.
  • Manage and record build configuration of products.
  • Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
What you’ll need
  • Experience in wiring.
  • Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards.
  • Experience building electrical assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.
