Responsibilities

We're hiring for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join an engineering manufacturer based in Stockport. You'll be leading a skilled production team, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and motivated working environment.

What will you be doing as a Manufacturing Supervisor

• Leading your team to deliver products on time and to the required cost and quality standards
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company Health & Safety policies
• Allocating resources effectively to hit production targets, supporting other departments when needed
• Managing attendance, holidays, and sickness in line with company procedures
• Supporting training and development to maintain skills and encourage progression
• Preparing daily production reports to track performance and output
• Maintaining quality standards and resolving any issues or non-conformances promptly
• Running daily briefings to communicate priorities, updates, and key business information
• Keeping KPIs clear and up to date for both your team and management
• Carrying out daily checks to maintain a clean, safe, and visitor-ready working environment

What do you need?

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader position within an engineering environment
• Strong understanding of production processes
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience in quality, safety, and resource management
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or higher) desirable
• Experience within a HGV production environment desirable
