Overview

Our growing manufacturing client in Derby is looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join their team on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will read and understand detailed manufacturing instructions, carry out process inspections and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of hands-on manufacturing tasks
• Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, including Engineering Drawings, Ream sheets, Data Cards, etc.
• Use appropriate measuring equipment to verify that all components meet quality standards and specifications
• Carry out in-process inspection in accordance with relevant specifications

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Experience carrying out a hands-on manufacturing role is ideal (riveting, counter sinking, deburring, linishing, fettling, assembly and fitting etc.)
• Confident using a range of manufacturing tools such as air grinders, air tools, linishers etc.
• Great attention to detail
• Good communication skills
