Manual Machinist

Middleton

Monday to Thursday: 07:00-16:00

Friday: 07:00-12:00

We are currently recruiting for our client in Middleton for a Manual Machinist. You will be responsible for producing small batches of precision‑machined stainless steel valve components for the oil and gas sector using manual milling machines and lathes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture components to specification, ensuring compliance with technical drawings.
• Modify and adapt existing parts as required.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

Essential:

• Time‑served experience operating manual milling machines.
• Previous experience in a production environment.
• Strong engineering background.
• Proficient in using manual measurement tools.

Desirable:

• Experience operating manual lathes (Capston, Hardinge, or Colchester).
• Willingness to learn lathe operation.
