Job description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join their Real Estate team in Jersey. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will take on comprehensive responsibility for overseeing the administrative support and relationship management provided by junior team members across a diverse client portfolio. The Manager will independently manage significant transitions within the portfolio and will be the key point of contact for transaction updates, ensuring clear communication with directors on essential matters. This position offers the opportunity to enhance client onboarding experiences, provide critical training and support to the underlying team, and to shape the professional growth of junior staff members.

Job Duties
  • Collaborate closely with line reports and respective client directors to ensure efficient service delivery across various client portfolios.
  • Support the immediate management team in achieving divisional strategy and business objectives.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for queries from team members.
  • Foster effective working relationships with colleagues in the department and wider organisation as required.
  • Oversee various client portfolios, ensuring seamless administration processes.
  • Supervise team meetings and oversee the activities of junior staff.
  • Liaise with third parties, including lawyers, auditors, and investment managers, as necessary.
  • Ensure statutory filings are completed within applicable deadlines.
  • Coordinate and take minutes during meetings.
  • Conduct first reviews of complex transaction documentation and oversee due diligence and customer onboarding procedures.
  • Maintain a task list to ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Assist in drafting internal documents and provide general administration support to the team.
  • Ensure accurate recording of personal time in line with group procedures.
  • Review invoices, client financial statements, and oversee cash management processes.
  • Maintain compliance with mandatory AML training requirements.
  • Mentor junior members pursuing professional qualifications and lead team development initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the finance industry.
  • Holding a relevant and recognised professional qualification aligned with Table 5 requirements.
  • Currently working towards a professional Table 4 qualification such as ICSA or equivalent.
  • Strong delegation and oversight abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements and company secretary responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with Jersey statutory laws, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient understanding of cash management systems and performance measurement reports.
