Job description

Overview

Vishay is seeking an experienced Manager Product Engineer in the Automotive MOSFET Division. The role involves overseeing all phases of product engineering, new product development, and production support for our automotive MOSFET product line. The manager will work closely with cross‑functional teams across Europe and Asia Pacific to drive product excellence.

Location

Available positions in: Newport, UK; Taipei, Taiwan; Binan, Philippines. The ideal candidate will be located near one of the Vishay offices in the above regions.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on technical management of new and existing products within the Automotive MOSFET Division.
• Manage new product introduction of leading‑edge products from definition and development through to characterization, qualification, and release phases.
• Support product problem‑solving with manufacturing, CQM, product marketing and application organizations.
• Define technical management presentations related to technical problems and project status.
• Coordinate with Asia Pacific wafer fabrication and package assembly operations for yield enhancement and quality improvement programs.
• Define and review automotive product datasheets and technical specifications.
• Develop statistical test methods to optimize yield and drive quality defect reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• Experience in product engineering with strong knowledge of discrete power MOS and trench MOS technologies.
• Strong multi‑tasking project and technical skills to drive new product introduction from definition to final datasheet release.
• Experience in product/process problem‑solving using statistical data analytics and yield‑management software.
• Experience supporting offshore facility‑to‑facility product transfers (package and wafer).
• Familiarity with Automotive AEC Q101 testing and qualification requirements/methods (plus).
• Familiarity with MOSFET semiconductor ATE (automatic test equipment) and wafer/package test methods (plus).
• Experience interfacing with offshore product engineers across Europe, Asia, and the U.S., and driving international teams in a collaborative and time‑conscious fashion.
• Knowledge of 8D and FMEA processes and concepts.
• Willingness to travel to offshore sites in the USA, Asia, and Europe.
