Overview

Were looking for a competent Accountant to join a major UK distributor to store business on a part-time basis. Our client has been established for more than 30 years, employing close to staff members, with an annual turnover of £12m. Great compensation | Flexible hours manage your own time | £20 £25 per hour Permanent contract

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including the calculation of accruals and prepayments
• Prepare and submit VAT returns (quarterly for UK business, bi-monthly for the RoI business)
• Reconcile GBP, USD and Euro company bank accounts
• Take responsibility for the purchase of foreign currency and foreign supplier payments
• Manage ROI purchase ledger and payments
• Prepare cashflow forecasts
• Analyse sales and calculate sales rebates
• Conduct monthly stock reconciliation and compile quarterly Aged Stock Analysis
• Manage company credit card facility and monthly analysis of expenditure
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and calculate monthly depreciation charges
• Prepare and post weekly and monthly payroll costs journal
• Provide cover for Sage payroll process and weekly EDI transmission (whilst Bookkeeper is on leave)
• Liaise with bank and assist auditors
• Complete and submit National Statistic Questionnaires
