Job description

We are working with a very exciting business based in the Denbighshire region to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. The company is quite open on the level of experience they seek – they are happy to consider candidates who are AAT Qualified, in the early stages of CIMA/ACCA, or those who are part-qualified or finalists. They are also open to candidates Qualified By Experience if they have the right experience.

In this role, you will join a business with a strong national presence that is rapidly growing both organically and through acquisitions. You will support a Finance Manager in preparing monthly reports for the group and play a key role in the long-term success of both the finance team and the business by progressing into a senior finance team member.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  1. Supporting the Finance Manager in preparing group reporting
  2. Preparing P&L reports and assisting in the production of the management accounts pack
  3. Posting accruals and prepayments, making necessary adjustments
  4. Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  5. Handling intercompany reconciliations, ensuring charges are correctly allocated
  6. Working on projects to drive business changes
  7. Assisting with the integration of newly acquired businesses into current processes
  8. Liaising with wider finance teams to ensure effective processes and acting as a point of escalation in daily operations

To be considered for this role, you must:

  1. Have experience in a finance role, ideally with some management accounting or month-end experience
  2. Be at least AAT qualified or part-qualified with a desire to continue studying
  3. Have knowledge of financial controls and principles
  4. Possess strong financial systems knowledge and Excel skills

You will receive:

  • A salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications
