Job summary

A Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader in the United Kingdom is seeking a Management Accountant. You will be responsible for month-end reconciliations, support year-end processes, and lead financial training initiatives. Candidates should have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong ERP system knowledge, and be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified. Qualifications

• Experience as a Management Accountant or similar.
• Strong working experience with ERP systems.
• Skilled user of Microsoft programmes, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Produce month end account reconciliations for profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
• Support year end processes working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Work alongside Project Accountants to produce long term contract forecasts.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives.
• Support in the production of annual budgets and forward forecasts.
• Process and reconcile employee expenses and petty cash monthly.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.

The successful Management Accountant will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

• Produce month end account reconciliations for profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
• Support year end processes working with external auditors and tax advisors to provide information
• Work alongside Project Accountants to produce long term contract forecasts
• Lead business process improvement, cost reduction workshop and financial training initiatives with various stakeholders
• Support in the production of annual budgets and forward forecasts
• Process and reconcile employee expenses and petty cash on a monthly basis
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns

For the Management Accountant role, we are keen to receive CV's from candidates who possess:

• Experience as a Management Account or similar within a Manufacturing environment

• Annual salary between 53,000 to 58,000 depending on experience

• 1–2 days per week hybrid
• Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours per week
