Job summary

A leading global chemical distribution company is seeking a Management Accountant to manage the purchase ledger and assist with month-end analysis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will handle key responsibilities including accruals, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and supplier management. The ideal candidate has finance experience and qualifications like ACCA or CIMA. This position promotes workplace diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accruals/prepayment schedules.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze overheads management.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports for commercial team.
  • Generate monthly product reports for product managers.
  • Conduct quarterly carbon reporting for group.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers.
  • Assist in ensuring correct VAT treatment.
  • Oversee the management of AP ledgers.
  • Support audit planning with accurate information.
  • Liaise with auditors to meet deadlines.

Job description
Overview

The purpose of the Management Accountant is to have sole responsibility for managing the day-to-day purchase ledger and assist in the preparation of month-end analysis for the Solventis Group alongside other key tasks as required. Working within a small finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities
  • Accruals/prepayment schedules
  • Maintaining fixed asset schedules
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Management and analysis of overheads
  • Monthly sales reports for global commercial team
  • Monthly product reports for product managers
  • Quarterly carbon reporting for group
  • Management of key suppliers
  • Assist in maintaining correct VAT treatment
  • Oversee the running/management of the AP ledgers
  • Other key tasks as required to support the finance department
  • Assist in audit planning including providing accurate, timely information and liaising with external and internal auditors to ensure deadlines are met
