Overview

Maintenance Technician - Newburn. Apply now to join Stannah. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join Stannah, based at our manufacturing site in Newburn. You will work Monday to Wednesday 19:45 to 05:45 and Thursday 19:45 to 04:45 with a 33% shift uplift for these hours. As the Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Maintenance Manager, becoming the subject matter expert in your area. Day to day, you will work independently and as part of a skilled team, maintaining plant equipment and buildings using a computerised PPM system. You will be confident in semi-auto processes, working within a paint plant; experience with powder coating would be desirable. A full understanding of safe systems of work, and a commitment to your own health and safety and that of others, is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Attend to breakdowns of services, tools, and machinery.
  • Install modifications and perform project work.
  • Work efficiently, seek process improvements and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support facility improvements and achieve QCD goals.
  • Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Safe Systems of Work.
  • Ensure all relevant daily reporting is completed and accurate.
  • Respond to Out of Box feedback from installers and maintain knowledge of the PPM system.
  • Flexible approach to working on different shift patterns.
  • Able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working in a paint plant environment.
  • Experience of installation, inspection and testing.
  • Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification or willingness to work towards.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician or in related roles (e.g., Production Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, Facilities Maintenance Technician, Plant Maintenance Technician).
  • Willingness to work towards relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications if not already held.
