Shift: Mornings & Afternoons
Salary:£34,000 -£36,000 per annum

Maintenance Technician Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to play a crucial role in ensuring the proper upkeep, functionality, and safety of equipment. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities to support smooth operations within the production environment.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and scheduled maintenance across equipment and machinery.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, performing fault-finding (electrical and mechanical).
  • Conduct regular inspections, including lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of components.
  • Perform safety checks to protect both operators and the plant.
  • Diagnose and repair issues such as faulty wiring, fixtures, or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Replace consumables such as filters, belts, and lubricants.
  • Perform testing and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records, including booking and ordering parts.
  • Supervise and manage cleaning crews as required during maintenance tasks.

Maintenance Technician Skills:

  • Formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3).
  • Workplace experience in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Dual Skilled role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair machine faults.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Well-organised and capable of working unsupervised.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ABACA PKG 3000.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
