Job summary

A manufacturing company in Leicester is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to maintain production equipment across a 3-shift rotation. The ideal candidate will have a timed served apprenticeship or NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and strong communication skills. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per year plus overtime, with a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Job description

Hours Of Work – Weekly rotation 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am

Salary – Up to £40,000 plus overtime

Holiday – 30 Days inclusive of Bank Holidays

Job Type – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Scope of Work:

• To effectively maintain production equipment on a 3-shift rotation.

Key Result areas.

• Maintenance, repair & continuous improvement of production machinery, equipment systems, including daily / weekly routine maintenance activities in combination with supporting continuous improvement activities
• Participation in the identification and procurement of consumables & spares,
• Accompany, assist and monitor service engineers, contractors and vendors
• Ensure efficient shift handovers to ensure machines and plant are safe & maintained at optimum operational condition.
• Multi-skilled role Electrical/Mechanical within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
• Follow Company H&S Policies.
