Air Personnel are delighted to support their client based at Bournemouth Airport for the role of Maintenance Service Planner

The client is a very reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircrafts. As they are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured we need another Maintenance Service Planner

In light of this fantastic news, an opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Service Planner to join our exciting and progressive Engineering team based at our modern Bournemouth base facility. With a varied and interesting workload, the Maintenance Service Planner will deliver the full life cycle planning process of base maintenance to achieve on time, high quality and within budget delivery of aircraft inputs across our sites within the UK. In order to ensure both customer satisfaction and business needs are met, the role will require working in partnership directly with the customer and wider internal teams including customer service and engineering on a daily basis, whilst producing accurate customer service reports.

We are looking for confident individuals with experience of maintenance / production planning within an Aviation or Engineering environment, and ideally working knowledge of Part 145 / M regulations. As part of this role, you will be utilising the system Corridor, so experience of MRO planning software would be a huge advantage, but not essential. The successful individual would join a long established and respected forward-thinking company that has a proven pedigree in career development within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and full use of operational processes to ensure efficient operational performance
• Customer service and client contact – point of contact for the customer and the interface between our engineering team and the customer’s on-site representative
• Pre-input planning, work pack generation, check progression and work pack closure process
• Control of completed work order and Certification documents, ensuring that these are closed accurately, billed, and delivered to the customer to the required KPI
• Ensuring that our customers’ requirements are understood and that our engineering response is planned, co-ordinated and executed in an efficient manner
• Liaise / engage with customers daily providing daily status reports on aircraft serviceability
• Liaise / engage with local operational teams to ensure smooth running of the department
• Participate in the quality audit programme and ensuring audit closure actions are developed and implemented
• Reporting of all SMS / Quality issues
• Perform other sections duties related to their position as directed by the line manager
• Provide briefings for engineering departmental management on a regular basis
• Support the Quality & Safety team regarding their duties to ensure all processes and department tasks are fulfilled

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

Essential

• Experience of maintenance / production planning within an Aviation or Engineering environment
• A proven track record of flexibility, teamwork, and adaptability to changing environments
• As an integral and important part of the Group you should have both strong verbal and written communication skills and be competent using IT
• Experience working directly with customer representatives

Desirable

• Working knowledge of Part 145 / M regulations
• Experience of MRO planning software such as Corridor, TRAX or AMOS would be a huge advantage, but not essential
• Excellent educational background with a degree within Mechanical, Engineering or Automotive
