Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs, including carpentry and plumbing, and responding to maintenance requests. Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence and experience in plastering, kitchen installation, and gardening. The position offers flexibility in working hours, with a competitive hourly rate ranging from £13.20 to £18.20. This is a temporary ongoing position.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and conduct inspections.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday – Flexibility with hours between 8am and 6pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out refurb work in properties including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the facilities are in top condition.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.
Requirements
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience in plastering (bonding & skimming), fire door installation & adjustment, kitchen installation (including plumbing), gardening (strimming, mowing, hedge cutting), bathroom installation (including plumbing).
  • Previous maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
