Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

Uttoxeter | Permanent Position | Up to £45,000 PA DOE | Day Shift

Are you a hands‑on problem solver with a passion for keeping machinery running at peak performance? We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client and help them drive excellence in precision engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining single and three phase systems, such as isolators, control panels and distribution boards
  • Providing mechanical repairs on both hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Diagnosing PLC faults and implementing effective solutions
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability
  • Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills, especially with PLC controlled equipment
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of plant machinery and equipment
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Holding an NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance and 18th Edition would be advantageous
Benefits
  • Competitive salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience
  • Day shift: 7.55am to 4.55pm Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 4.00pm Friday
  • Stable and permanent position
