Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Cheltenham, UK

Salary: £38,000 per year

Hours: Days Monday to Friday, flexible start and finish, early finish Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team in Cheltenham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a basic understanding of electrical fault finding. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, working with a variety of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, presses, robots, and automated manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot presses, robots, and automated manufacturing lines.
  • Carry out basic electrical fault finding when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work as part of a small, dynamic team to ensure maximum machine uptime and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
  • Mechanical bias with experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding (training can be provided).
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, presses, robots, or automated systems is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working hours and a proactive approach to maintenance.
