Maintenance Engineer

Location : Newcastle under Lyme

Salary : £46,000 per annum

Hours : 5 : 30am till 5 : 30pm and 5 : 30pm till 5 : 30am covering Mon-Sun and repeating every 28 days (2 Days, 2 Nights, 2 Off, 3 Nights, 2 Off, 3 Days, 2 Off, 2 Days, 2 Nights, 8 Off. This will give an 8 day off period every 28-day rota)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join the customers onsite operations based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Support Manager and will be responsible for :

  • Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with the Computerised Maintenance System
  • Ensuring all information is captured on the Computerised Maintenance System, including booking spares, time, and machine and fault information.
  • Servicing, repairing and fault diagnosis of all equipment
  • Identify future projects and enhancements to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime
  • Identifying spares and replacement machine parts to ensure limited downtime
  • Implementation of agreed improvements
  • Ensuring a good level of housekeeping of all automated areas is maintained
