Job summary

A leading dairy producer in Scotland is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer. You’ll maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical and mechanical systems, along with an apprenticeship background. A knowledge of food processing equipment is a plus. This is a full-time position with a focus on preventative maintenance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in breakdown maintenance and installation of motors, VFD’s, and PLC’s.
  • Experience with food processing equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safe work practices on site.
  • Maintain records for repairs, breakdowns, and installations.

Skills

Experience of electrical and mechanical plants

Job description

Brightwork are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, Graham’s Family Dairy, for a Maintenance Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the company’s Bridge of Allen site.

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the production equipment and facilities within the Glenfield site to ensure maximum efficiency of the site production.

Shifts are as follows - 40 hours per week 5 / 7, x 3 shift pattern.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintenance and repair of a range of machinery.
  • Incorporating excellent relations with external contractors
  • Ensuring all personnel on site comply with safe work practices
  • Ensuring where possible production is not impacted.
  • Preventative maintenance of machinery.
  • Carry out any special projects as required by management team
  • Maintenance of records for repairs, breakdowns, installations etc
  • Working with Operators to identify faults and improve ways of working
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • Experience of electrical and mechanical plants
  • Experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance and installation of motors, VFD’s and PLC’s
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training programme
  • Experience with food process and packing equipment would be an advantage
