A local NHS Trust is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to handle fault diagnosis and repair of various mechanical services and equipment. The role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity of NHS services across Sussex. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications such as Gas Safe and OFTEC certifications, alongside a flexible approach to work. To carry out fault diagnosis, repair and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) work on all Mechanical building services and equipment within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) and any other local Trusts/organisations to which SCFT provide a service.
The postholder will apply a flexible attitude and approach to carrying out all assigned tasks.
The postholder will have incidental contact with patients such as giving wayfinding instructions.

Enable effective fault diagnosis and repair to a wide range of plant and equipment as detailed below, including:
Use digital and analogue test and monitoring instruments for effective testing and fault finding. Ability to analyse results.
Carry out minor new works as directed by the Estates Operations Manager or Estates M and E Manager.
Interpret and work from appropriate instructions, drawing’s and specifications.
Record accurately details of works completed including time, date, job content, location and materials used. Update logbooks, registers and other statutory records as directed by the Estates Operations Manager or Estates M and E Manager.
