As a Maintenance Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create the safe and attractive surroundings that enable us to give our residents the quality care and support they deserve. This role offers a variety of tasks to ensure the building and grounds are well-maintained, providing a positive first impression and a comfortable environment for the residents.

Main duties of the job

The Maintenance Assistant will undertake a range of tasks to keep the care home building and grounds in top condition. This includes maintenance and repair work, ensuring the property is safe and well-presented at all times. The role requires experience in property maintenance, a patient and caring nature, and a genuine interest in supporting the residents.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Maintenance Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create the safe and attractive surroundings that enable us to give our residents the quality care and support they deserve. It's important that our homes give the right first impression and that every area is always well-maintained. The role of Maintenance Assistant offers plenty of variety as you'll undertake a range of tasks to make sure our building and grounds are at their best all day, every day.

This position is part time, 18 hours per week over 3 days (6hrs shift, Mon-Friday)

ABOUT YOUYou'll need some experience of property maintenance to join us as a Maintenance Assistant. We'll also want to see a patient, caring nature and a genuine interest in our residents. As well as that, you should be reliable and ready to turn your hand to a range of tasks all focused on keeping the home maintained to the highest standards.
