A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to provide specialist SLT services. The successful candidate will manage complex patient needs, oversee clinical treatment plans, and contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork. The role is based at St George's Hospital, one of the country's principal teaching hospitals, and involves close work with patients and healthcare professionals. The Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) post holder has responsibility for providing a highly specialist SLT service to Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Services. This includes Oro-maxillofacial surgery (OMFS), Head & Neck Oncology, Palliative Oncological Care. They will be linked with the Macmillan Cancer Services, and will see in-patients and out-patients in St. George's Hospital Healthcare NHS Trust in consultation with Line Manager. These clients will have complex needs and a significant proportion of them will have English as an additional language (EAL).
The post holder will be expected to lead collaborative working with patients/clients, carers and with colleagues in Health, the voluntary sector. This role is key in providing the following to the Head and neck outreach and Inpatient service;
