Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair machinery and equipment for curriculum and farm use.
  • Prepare workshop spaces and resources for practical sessions.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, inspected, and ready for use.
  • Monitor and order consumables as needed.
  • Support academic staff with practical planning and audits.
  • Keep up to date with PUWER, COSHH, and LOLER regulations.
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain risk assessments.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Agricultural/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience maintaining machinery and tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments, and COSHH.
  • Excellent practical skills, communication, and organisational abilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance.
Desirable
  • Telehandler, ATV, and Sprayer certificates.
  • Computer literacy with Office 365.
