Machine-shop Technician / Workshop Technician

Based in Tadley area – 40 hours – straight days – 8am to 4pm (finish at 1pm on Fridays as long as 40 hours completed – UNLIMITED Overtime available)

Job - Workshop Technician – (Training Available – BUT must have at least a college level or 1 year working semi-skilled in a workshop)

Looking for a person wishing to work in a busy engineering machine-shop / workshop, who has good attitude and who likes to be busy in a varied work role.

Company Overview

The client company is split into 2 business areas, the main section is high end manual & CNC machining, the other side of the business is gaining lots of business from the environment agency building early warning flood detection systems, these are rugged / durable sensing devices built into indestructible cabinets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitoring milling and turning machines.
  • Drilling, grinding / finishing in the workshop.
  • Possibly building steel cabinets (washing machine size) used by the environment agency.
  • General workshop duties and assistance across the business.
Candidate Requirements
  • College level education or at least 1 year working semi-skilled in a workshop.
  • Good aptitude for using hand tools in a workshop environment.
  • Flexible and willing to take on tasks across the business.
