Job summary

A reputable food manufacturing company in Airdrie is seeking a Machine Setter to efficiently set up machinery and monitor production standards. This role requires previous experience and a strong understanding of machinery operations within a food production environment. You will work from Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £12.67 per hour. Overview

Albert Bartlett is a family-run business serving the UK with the finest potatoes since 1948. We are based in Airdrie, Scotland, with additional sites in Boston, Westwick and Jersey. We pride ourselves on close relationships with local farmers and a commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation. We are excited to open a Machine Setter role on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and calibrate machinery to meet production specifications efficiently
  • Conduct routine maintenance and promptly address any machinery issues to minimize downtime
  • Monitor the production process to ensure high-quality standards are continuously met
  • Keep accurate records of machine settings and production outputs for quality control
  • Work closely with team members to foster a collaborative, smooth-running production environment
  • Assist in training new operators on machinery and safety procedures
Working hours

Hours: Monday–Friday, Dayshift

Rate of pay

£12.67 per hour

Requirements
  • Previous experience in machine setting or a similar role within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of machinery operation, particularly in food production
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to maintain machinery effectively
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure product quality and safety standards
  • Collaborative spirit and great communication skills to work effectively with the team
